Is my score really free?

Yes, always. The score, the six-level ladder and your first plan step stay free, and so does the Wallet — every holding, no limit. A paid plan opens the full report and the rest of the plan.

How long does it take?

About two minutes. Seven questions — what comes in, what goes out, your EMIs, what you could reach in a day, how many people depend on you, and your term and health cover. You can change any answer later and the score follows.

Do I need documents or a bank login?

Neither. We never connect to your bank, never scrape a statement, and never ask for a bank password, PIN or OTP. You tell us the numbers; we do the arithmetic.

How is the score calculated?

Out of 100, from five weighted pillars: savings 25, debt 20, your emergency cushion 20, protection 20 and investments 15. Every input is one you gave us, and the rubric is the same for everyone. The full method is written up in detail.

What is the clearance ladder?

Six levels in the order that protects your family: term insurance, health insurance, debt under control, a surplus above 15%, an emergency fund for six months, then investments started. Each one opens when the one below it is clear, so there is always exactly one next thing.

What can I put in my Wallet?

Five kinds of thing: cash and deposits, investments, gold and property, insurance, and loans. Savings accounts, FDs, SIPs, PPF, jewellery, a plot, a term plan, a car loan — each with what it is worth, what goes in each month, and the date that matters.

Is there a limit on how much I can add?

No. The Wallet is free to every member with no cap on holdings — it is not part of any paid plan, and it never has been.

How do wallet reminders work?

Anything in your wallet with a date gets a reminder in the app, and how far ahead depends on what it is: policies and deposits warn a week before and again the day before, loans and investments the day before, because knowing about an EMI three weeks early is just noise. You can mute any single item without turning the rest off.

Can I record something in another currency?

Yes — an NRE account, an overseas fund, a foreign salary. It is kept and shown in its own currency and is never converted, because we hold no exchange rates and a stale one silently moving your net worth would be worse than not showing it. Those holdings sit outside your net worth and your score, and the app says so on the screen.

What are the nominee and agent details for?

The part your family would struggle to find without you. Against each holding you can record who inherits it, the policy or account number, and the agent or advisor to call, with their number. It is the difference between a claim taking weeks and taking years.

Can I store the actual documents?

Yes. A policy PDF, an FD receipt, property papers — stored against the holding they belong to. Files are private: they have no public address, only you can open them, and they are deleted when you delete the holding or your account.

How is Financial Lifestyle different from the score?

The score measures where your money stands. Lifestyle looks at how you decide, save and spend, then prescribes what to change — with a qualified reviewer reading the report before you do.

Who reads my answers?

Your answers go to Anthropic's Claude, acting as our processor under contract, which writes the report and does not use your data to train its models. A qualified reviewer at Mr. Fino then reads that report to sign it off and add their own note — that human review is the service you are paying for. If you do not buy the add-on, neither happens.

How often should I take it?

Once a year. It is about habits and beliefs, and those do not move month to month — the score is the thing worth watching more often.

Is my data safe?

The figures you enter are yours to read. Our own staff cannot see them — the internal console shows only whether a field was filled, never what it says. We never connect to your bank and never ask for your bank password, PIN or OTP.

Do you connect to my bank?

No. There is no bank login, no account aggregator, no statement scraping. Everything in Mr. Fino is there because you typed it or uploaded it.

Do you sell my data?

No. Not to advertisers, not to insurers, lenders, brokers or distributors, not to our referral partners, not to data brokers. It is never used to target advertising.

Do you sell insurance or funds?

No. We tell you what kind of cover or instrument fits your level. You choose where to buy it.

What about the AI?

Only the Financial Lifestyle add-on uses one, and only if you buy it. Anthropic processes those answers on our instructions and is contractually barred from training on them. Nothing is sent for members who do not buy it.

Where is my data stored?

On managed MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest, behind TLS. Passwords are hashed and cannot be read even by us. The security page lists the controls in full, including what is still on the roadmap.

What happens if I delete my account?

It goes, immediately and irreversibly, confirmed with a code sent to you first. Your assessments, reports, Wallet, stored documents, check-up, plan, requests, messages, notifications, personal details and the account record itself are erased. Paid invoices survive as long as tax law requires, stripped of anything linking them to you, plus a single record that the deletion happened.

What is free, forever?

How do I pay?

Through Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details go straight to them and never touch our servers — we receive the payment reference, the amount and the status, and nothing else.

Am I charged automatically?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not keep your card and hold no mandate to charge it. Each period is a separate payment you choose to make, so nothing is ever taken without you doing it. When a period ends, your paid features stop unless you pay for another one.

How do I stop?

There is nothing to cancel, because there is no recurring charge. Your plan stays active to the last day you paid for and then ends. If you would rather not be prompted to renew, the billing screen can switch those reminders off.

Can I get a refund?

Amounts already paid are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. You keep the full remainder of any period you have paid for.

With your phone number and a six-digit code on WhatsApp, with Google, or with an email and password if you set one. You can add any of them later from your profile.

Can I change my number or email?

Yes, from your profile. Both are verified before the change takes effect, so a mistyped number cannot lock you out.

What is the difference between deactivating and deleting?

Deactivating pauses the account: notifications stop, your profile goes quiet, and nothing is deleted — sign back in and we offer to reactivate it. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone. Both are in Settings, and both are confirmed with a code.

Can I download my own data?

You can download your report as a PDF, your invoices, and any document you uploaded to the Wallet. Everything else is readable and editable in your profile. There is no single archive export today.

Yes, on both. Android is on the Play Store and iOS is on the App Store — it needs iOS 15.1 or later. Your score, Wallet and reminders are the same on either, and everything syncs with the web.
